Prime Video has developed the second-largest streaming audience in the modern era, behind only Netflix. The streamer follows a similar model to Netflix, regularly releasing new original shows featuring big stars while also adding older classics to its library. Prime Video also has the backing of the massive Amazon MGM Studios, which releases some of the biggest movies each year, allowing a straight pipeline from theaters to the streamer. The biggest show on Prime Video is likely Reacher, the action smash starring Alan Ritchson that’s returning for Season 4 this year. Amazon has already released one of the most polarizing sci-fi movies of the year thus far with Mercy, which co-stars Chris Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson. The film premiered exclusively in theaters this January, and it’s since become one of the most popular movies in the world on Prime Video.
The most popular new series of the year for Prime Video so far has been Steal, the easy-to-binge heist thriller starring Game of Thrones icon Sophie Turner. The show follows an ordinary office worker who suddenly finds herself in the middle of the heist of the century, and it’s earned acclaim from critics so far, enough to mark a 79% on Rotten Tomatoes. Audiences weren’t quite as hot on the show, which led to it scoring a 67% on the Popcornmeter, but this hasn’t been reflected in its extraordinary streaming success. It’s been almost 10 weeks since all episodes of Steal were added to Prime Video, but the show is still holding strong in the global top 10 despite no announcement of another season. It's the perfect mix of Die Hard and Industry, with all the high-stakes espionage elements set against the backdrop of a grounded corporate setting.
What Else Is Streaming on Prime Video Right Now?

Steal has given up the top spot on Prime Video streaming charts to Invincible, the hit comic series from creator Robert Kirkman that recently returned with its fourth season. The most popular movie on Prime Video right now by a long shot is Crime 101, the hit heist thriller starring Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo. To reach the top spot on Prime Video, Crime 101 had to crawl past the aforementioned sci-fi thriller, Mercy, and also other straight-to-streaming success stories like The Bluff (starring Karl Urban) and The Wrecking Crew (starring Jason Momoa).

'Game of Thrones' Sophie Turner Faces the Heist of the Century in New Thriller Series Trailer
Sophie Turner is an ordinary office worker caught up in the crime of the century in the new trailer for Steal. The Prime Video TV series will deal with the aftermath of a devastating heist, as an ordinary woman gets entangled with both the thieves and British intelligence. All six episodes of Steal will premiere on Prime Video on January 21, 2026.
As the trailer opens, office drone Zara (Turner) is working for Lochmill Capital, a pension fund investment company in the heart of London; the only thing dangerous about the job is that she might get bored to death. That all changes when a coterie of armed robbers burst in; disguised in high-tech prosthetics to cloak their true identities, they demand that Zara and best pal Luke (Archie Madekwe) transfer four million pounds into their account. Despite their objections over stealing millions from innocent people, they comply. As the thieves get away, Zara and Luke's troubles are only beginning. DCI Rhys (Jacob Fortune-Lloyd), a cop with a gambling problem, is nosing around Zara's life, the thieves are still on the loose, and MI5, Britain's national intelligence service, is entangled with the whole mess. Zara and Luke had better get to the bottom of this quickly, or they'll end up taking the fall...
