Marshals is getting an exciting new release.
The hit Yellowstone spinoff, which sees Luke Grimes returning as Kayce Dutton, is already carving a path forward. It was reported in early June that Marshals season 2 had started production in Park City, Utah, with new episodes debuting in the fall. Although an exact release date has not been announced, the action series has an update.

Blu-ray.com reveals Marshals season 1 will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on August 25. The release comes courtesy of Paramount Home Media Distribution, with the Blu-ray cover showing Kayce riding a horse in an idyllic landscape. The item is currently available for pre-order.
Marshals season 1, consisting of 13 episodes, debuted in March. It hails from showrunner Spencer Hudnut and executive producer Taylor Sheridan, taking place after the events of Yellowstone and focusing on Kayce as he leaves the Dutton ranch behind to join a group of U.S. Marshals. On a more personal level, however, Kayce is attempting to raise his son after the tragic death of his wife, Monica.
The Marshals cast includes Brecken Merril returning as Tate Dutton, alongside fellow Yellowstone characters Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham) and Mo (Mo Brings Plenty). New actors include Arielle Kebbel, Ash Santos, Tatanka Means, Logan Marshall-Green, and Brett Cullen, each of whom adds a new dynamic to the group that Kayce has surrounded himself with.
The ending of Marshals season 1 concludes with a few unanswered questions, such as which supporting players will return for season 2 and the uncertainty regarding Kayce's love life after the loss of Monica. The summer release of the Marshals season 1 physical media means that viewers can catch up to these questions or relive them with fresh eyes before the cliffhangers are resolved.
Marshals season 1 was a massive success right out of the gate. It was renewed for just two episodes due to the strength of its ratings. The spinoff averaged over 26 million viewers across 28 days, according to Nielsen, beaten only by Stranger Things. It unseated Tracker as the most popular CBS show, although the Justin Hartley-led procedural still features well in the rankings.
Considering the strength of its viewership, it's no surprise that Marshals season 1 is getting a dedicated physical media release. DVDs and Blu-rays for television shows are becoming rarer, with many only getting Complete Series Boxset editions or releases that are timed to specific anniversaries. An individual season release is a throwback that's cool to see.
Marshals season 1 is also available to stream on Paramount+.
CBS Sets Fall Dates for ‘Marshals,’ ‘Survivor’ and More
CBS has set its fall premiere dates, and as has been the case for the past few seasons, most of the network’s lineup will launch in early October.
Reality staples Survivor and The Amazing Race will debut a bit earlier, as will 60 Minutes. But all of CBS’ scripted series are set to premiere over six days starting Oct. 4. FBI and CIA follow on Oct. 5, with each show moving up an hour (to 8 and 9 p.m. ET/PT) from their spots last season as CBS eliminated its Monday comedy block for 2026-27. True crime show Harlan Coben’s Final Twist follows at 10 p.m.
An all-NCIS lineup remains on Tuesday nights starting Oct. 6, with newcomer NCIS: New York sandwiched between the flagship series and prequel NCIS: Origins. CBS’ two other new fall series, comedy Eternally Yours and drama Cupertino, premiere Oct. 8 along with Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage and Elsbeth. Ghosts and Matlock are set for midseason premieres, but a pair of Ghosts specials will air on Oct. 29 and Dec. 10 tied to Halloween and Christmas. The Friday lineup of Sheriff Country, Fire Country and Boston Blue debuts Oct. 9.
